You Can Still Object!
Thank you for your support, and to everyone who has submitted comments to Lambeth Council regarding the proposed development.
As of today, 29 May, Lambeth has received 370 comments, 330 objecting and 33 supporting (the remainder are neutral). This is a healthy response, but could you help to add more? The more objections, the greater the impact on the planning decision. It would be great if we had 409 - or more!
So
If you haven’t objected yet, please do so before the new deadline: Friday, 6 June 2025 (extended from the original 27 May).
Encourage friends, family, members of your household, neighbours, and colleagues to register their objections as well.
You can object on the Lambeth Council Planning portal or by email. The planning portal doesn’t always work. In that case, try later or object by email.
Exciting News
We’re delighted to announce that Paul Velluet, a distinguished chartered architect and consultant long involved in urban conservation and planning, has agreed to work with us. He will write an assessment of the potential impacts of the current proposals on the character and heritage assets of the area. Paul has an impressive track record of objectively influencing local planning decisions, including on major developments like the former London Fire Brigade HQ on Albert Embankment.
Fundraising Update
A huge Thank You to those of you who’ve donated to our campaign. Your contribution is making a real difference. We’re making steady progress towards our target, but we’re not there yet; we’re still approximately £1000 pounds short. Please consider contributing any amount, and encourage others in your network to sign up to us and support us as well. Any surplus funds will be donated to a local charity.
